Darling Anabranch Telemetry and SCADA
This project consists of two Raw Water Pumping Stations, associated Treatment Works and Network Pump Stations. One facility is for the Darling River at the Polia property and the other facility is for the Murray River at Fort Courage.
Objective
This contract is for the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and defects liability of a Telemetry and SCADA system for the two Plants. With the distances involved, the only communications method available to link the two sites will be fixed telephone lines.
Equipment Used
- MOX UNITY RTU with 16MB and 56K MODEM
- Citect SCADA Version 6.1
Methodology
- Design to include DNP3 Protocol over Dial up and TCP for local communications
- Mox Products Unity RTU chosen for this application with DNP3 interface to Citect, and Modbus interface to the Siemens PLC.
- Rad-tel's standard set of Citect water utilities were used for Historical Data Collection and Analyses.
- Rad-tel’s unique Historical Slider Process Analyser was implemented to allow the user to analyse the process at any point in history by use of a slider bar on the user interface.

Result
The Darling Anabranch Telemetry and SCADA project is due for completion in December, one plant is commissioned and the second plant will be commissioned shortly.
